*UPDATE* Project Santa has closed shop!

Another successful year! We passed our original goal. 6,201 stockings were filled with love and sent to all different branches of the military!
This year, we had the priveldge of supporting 3 k-9 units. We understand the importance of these wonderful k-9's and the protection they provide for our military. Each dog received his/her own filled stocking with toys & treats!
Currently, we are working on another special project which includes soldiers children. We were contacted with a request for assistance in getting approximately 96 children stockings for Christmas because these families have limited incomes with their Moms' & Dads' deployed. Project Santa volunteers jumped on the chance to send each child a fun filled stocking that will bring a smile to their face this Christmas season. We will keep you updated on this special project!

THANK YOU to everyone who donated, sewed, stuffed, volunteered their time..or ANYTHING that you did to help support our soldiers! We couldn't of done it with out each and everyone of you. We apologize if we over looked your specific donation, or forgot to say "Thank you". It was not our intentions to do so. With so much going on, we sometimes get overwhelmed and become forgetful. But know that your generosity was received by our military and that because of YOU, you made a soldier smile during the Christmas season.

And always remember to hug a Vet...past or present...because without them, we wouldn't be the great country we are.

Love,
Heidi & Kathy

*WED UPDATE*

Today we had the honor, of celebrating Veteran's Day with a group of awesome Veteran's!

We started stuffing at 8:00 a.m and made great progress. Around 11:30, we took a break and had Father Ronald Margherio give a prayer for all our military, past & present. A Veteran, Mark, gave a speech about his 2 deployments and what it meant to him and other soldiers to receive the stockings. Then he proceeded to sing a song that he wrote while in Iraq. It was simply AMAZING! I don't think there was a dry eye in the house! Next, we had every Veteran stand up front, to receive a "Thank You, Veteran" pin that was presented to them, by the 7 children that attended Project Santa today. Afterward's we celebrated with a special cake just for them!
We continued the day with more stuffing and finished around 3:00 p.m

Our current count is now 5,076! More names are on the list, and more stockings will continue to be filled. Tomorrow is another day!

Thank you to everyone who participates in any way, shape or form. We couldn't do it without you!
